La psicologización del trabajo: la desregulación del trabajo y el gobierno de las voluntades

Este artículo intenta examinar el discurso sobre la flexiguridad que emana de las más importantes agencias para la construcción y la difusión de ideologías laborales y de las representaciones del desempleo en Europa, a saber, las instituciones de la Unión Europea. La flexiguridad, noción compuesta que busca reconciliar lo que parece irreconciliable, es el término específico por el que se designa una nueva estrategia política para la gestión del desempleo y de la seguridad social. Esta estrategia remite a la obligación moral del trabajador de participar en la regulación de su propia vida. En este proceso de producción polifónica, discursos antitéticos se conjuntan en un proceso paradójico de significación. Aunque el discurso en cuestión regule la voluntad y refuerce la capacidad individual para responsabilizarse por la propia vida, simultáneamente debilita recursos colectivos (conceptuales e individuales), mecanismos potenciales a través de los cuales los trabajadores podrían ejercer control sobre la naturaleza asimétrica de las situaciones de empleo que los vuelven vulnerables.Citas
